Buzzd, a city guide that’s one of the top 10 most downloaded apps on the Blackberry, is launching an iPhone version today that pulls real-time updates from nearby restaurants and bars.

Buzzd chief executive Nihal Mehta says static reviews aren’t enough. How do you know if a restaurant’s overflowing now? Or if the fish is subpar tonight? Or if the music’s good? Buzzd users send status updates on venues called “buzzes” that the app aggregates so others know which places are packed or empty in the area.
